Approval Criteria

Smart Approval uses smart criteria to determine approvers and approval logic for each request.

Types of Criteria

  • Direct Approver: Assigns approval to the user's configured approver.
  • Specific Approver: Assigns approval to a specific user.
  • Workflow User Group: Assigns approval to all members of a user group.

Managing Criteria

  • Use the Smart Approval Criteria and Applied Smart Criteria pages to view and edit criteria.
  • Criteria can be customized for each document type and workflow.

Automated Validation

  • The app checks for required approvers and notifies users of missing setup.
  • System approval entries are created if no criteria are found.
